Biography:
Akanksha Singh is a Ph.D. scholar at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India. Her research focuses on genetic and bioprocess engineering in microalgae, specializing in transgenic strain development, bioprocess optimization, and scaling up high-value bioproducts like carotenoids. By integrating in silico modeling with upstream and downstream bioprocess strategies, her work aims to optimize photosynthetic cell factories for sustainable biotech applications. In addition to her research, she actively contributes to academics by instructing B.Tech and M.Tech students in laboratory experiments and core biotechnology coursework.
