Biography:
Arjun Sankhla is a senior research scholar at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India. His research focuses on ‘Novel Diagnostics in Tuberculosis’, specializing in development of a biosensing platform as a proof-of-concept for the detection of MDR-TB specific biomarkers. By integrating molecular biology techniques with the approaches towards translational research, his work aims to design the biosensing platform. He has already published a patent for the same. In addition to his research, he actively contributes to academics by instructing bachelors’ and masters’ students in laboratory experiments and core biotechnology coursework.
