Biography:
The author gained a Bacherlor’s degree in Biotechnology from the University of Eastern Piedmont (UPO, Italy) with a thesis on the development of a metagenomic Open Reading Frame library. Earned a Master’s degree in Medical Biotechnologies at UPO with a thesis in pharmacology investigating correlation between single-nucleotide polymorphisms in bitter taste receptors and asthma. These experiences built a strong background in molecular biology and is currently a PhD student at the University of Turin, conducting research at Merck KGaA (Italy) on the development of biopharmaceutical-producing cell lines with reduced impurities.
