Biography:
Dr. Tamer Salem is a Professor of Biomedical Sciences and Coordinator of the Molecular and Cell Biology concentration at the University of Science and Technology at Zewail City. He earned his PhD in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida. Dr. Salem has held academic and research positions in Egypt and the United States and currently directs the Molecular Biology and Virology Lab. He is also the Director of the Center for X-Ray Determination of the Structure of Matter. His research focuses on virotherapy, vaccine development, virus-like particles, and virus-based therapeutic gene discovery.
