Biography:
Dr Tembe holds a PhD in Genetics, with a focus on the application of Forensic Entomology in legal investigations (forensic investigations). She received her PhD in 2021 at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Her research interests include: Forensic Genetics, Forensic Entomology, Forensic Entomotoxicology and Forensic Microbiology. Her current work includes establishing a database of arthropods of forensic value based on the geographical occurrence/endemicity of these arthropods for medico/legal application. She recently presented her research work in multiple international conferences including WAAVP, ICTMM, AFSA, and AITVM-STVM.
