Title: Regenerative medicines against various diseases
Abstract:
Neurodegenerative Diseases affect millions of people worldwide. Neurodegenerative diseases develop when neuron cells within the brain or peripheral nervous system gradually lose their ability to function and eventually die. The condition has no cure, even though therapies may help alleviate specific symptoms. Regenerative medicine is a better treatment for degenerative diseases, including Stem cell treatment. Stem cells are the cells that have clonogenic and self-replicating properties and are able to differentiate into almost all possible cell types. There are different types of stem cells, and they have their own clinical significance. Embryonic stem cells are used in the treatment of spinal cord injury, regeneration of retinal sheet, hepatic cell formation, etc. Induced pluripotent stem cells are used in the treatment of diabetes, and retinopathy, brain and cancer treatment, muscle regeneration, etc.
