Title: Extraction and quantification of long Non-Coding RNA from human blood plasma
Abstract:
Long Non-Coding RNAs are that those RNAs which are more than 200 nucleotide in length. Theyare present in the form of circulating long Non-Coding RNAs in human blood, plasma or serum&tissues. They are tissue specific and can be easily found in the carcinogenic tissues. LncRNAsare the non-coding RNAs which does not involve itself in the process of protein synthesis. Non- Coding RNAs are generally of two types - Small non-Coding RNA and Long non-CodingRNA. Small non-Coding RNA includes siRNA, miRNA, snoRNA & piRNA whearas lncRNAs includeantisense long non-Coding RNA, bidirectional long non-Coding RNA & intronic long non-CodingRNA. LncRNAs plays a vital role in the biological mechanism of human body which makesit important for the research purpose. They act as circulating biomarkers and plays a major roleininfectious metabolic and neurodegenerative diseases. LncRNAs are exciting andrapidlyexpanding field. Through this research we can enhance our understanding of biological processes and better elucidate the potential of lncRNAs as biomarkers & therapeutic targetsfor important human diseases. This project covers long non-Coding RNAs, its extraction from plasma of human bloodsampleand then quantification by nanodrop spectrophotometer & agarose gel electrophoresis.
